What do I need to use Evident?
You need OpenCode and a machine to run it on. The Evident CLI runs OpenCode on your machine and connects it to Evident, so you can reach your agent from the web and Slack — we don't run the compute, and your code never leaves your environment.
What is message queuing?
With message queuing (Pro), messages sent while your agent is offline are held and delivered the moment it reconnects. On the Free plan, messages sent while the agent is offline are not delivered. Queuing is what lets your agent pick up work it missed while it was off.
Why are Slack and message queuing paid features?
They're both about reaching your agent even when it isn't actively running in front of you. Maintaining the Slack App integration — keeping it approved, handling OAuth, and routing messages reliably — also takes ongoing work.
Can I use the free tier forever?
Yes. The Free tier is not a trial. You get one agent running on your machine, reachable from the web — at no cost. The paid features are Slack and message queuing.
What is the Teams plan?
Teams is for organisations with more than 10 members or custom requirements. There's no fixed price — reach out to contact@evident.run and we'll sort out the right setup.
